If you were inspired to volunteer by the Olympic Games Makers, then why not give some time to help a huge weekend of sport?
Volunteers are being recruited for the Active Nation Lincoln 10k Road Race weekend to help with the schools races on Saturday, April 6 and the adult races on Sunday, April 7.
Around 6,400 people are expected to run in the 2.8km Direct Textiles Ltd Primary Schools Race for nine to 11-year-olds, the 5km Running Imp Secondary School Race for 11 to 14-year-olds and the 10 kilometre wheelchair and road races.
But in order to help these races run smoothly a team of helpers is needed to help marshall the crowds, carry out race day administration and offer a supportive cheer to the runners.
All volunteers who help out on either day will receive a packed lunch and 10k T-shirt.
