We’re proud to say that the Lincoln 10K Road Race has been dubbed the best historic 10K in the country. It’s no surprise – during the race runners go straight past the magnificent gothic cathedral and finish their race in the atmospheric grounds of Lincoln Castle.
Just 200 runners entered the race when it first started in 1997, and it has grown steadily in popularity, with 5,500 people taking part last year.
In 2011, our race was so popular we had to turn people away, so needless to say, you’ll need to book your place early to avoid disappointment!
Online booking is quick and easy – just follow this link.
Build a team
The Active Nation Lincoln 10k Road Race we have age category prizes and two team challenges – the Lincoln Wellington Athletic Club Challenge and the Lincoln College Company Challenge. Follow the links on this website to find out more.
For the young ‘uns
Regular runners will know that we have introduced some ‘fringe’ races in recent years for the younger generation (and their parents):
Lincoln Getmummyfit Buggy Push for parents and their children
Healthy Lifestyles Primary School Race
Lincoln College Secondary School Race
These supplementary races have proved hugely popular, so we’ve given them their own day – Saturday 24th March.
Dig deep!
We’re pleased to say that many of our runners take part in aid of a whole host of worthy charities. For the first time this year, the Active Nation Lincoln 10k Road Race has two designated charities: Bliss and The Princes Trust, find out more about these charities, here.

What age do you have to be to enter?
Hi Miss Nixon,
You need to be 15+ on the day of the race to enter. If you are too young for the main race you can enter the Secondary school race (11-14) or Primary race (9-11) which are on the Saturday 24th March,
Regards
Natalie
The link for the primary school race does not seem to be working – when will the forms be available?
thanks
Emma
They aren’t available just yet, but hopefully will be in the next few days,
